In June of 2003, I wired $12,980.00 to Global Ventures for 5 Point of Sale (Posa) terminals that I was told would be "up & running" and producing income in 30 -45 days.
This biz-op was to be totally "turnkey" if desired, with locators placing the locations (for a fee) and getting them activated.
There has been absolutely NO SUPPORT from this company and constant lies and excuses as to placement of locations, and of course NO INCOME!
They give a couple of lousy non producing locations to cover their butts to placate investors. They are now insisting that investors "take and active part in locating their own locations and the more involved we are with our (nonexistant ) business, the more successful we will become!
There are at least 50 other investors in this scam whose story is identical to mine-some out as much as $ 30,000.
We received Fed Ex packages last week with letters stating that they would no longer be selling business opportunities, which to me signifies their final slap in the face to hapless victims.
They are nothing but scam artists- if you are involved with them, please fight to get your money back!

Just an update to let everyone know that Global Ventures is more apt to be found under Global Prepaid Services -just want to make sure that name gets into the RIpoff Report data base. Be aware that they are being sued for fraud by the Louisiana State attorney Generals office and have been jerking at least 50 people that I know of for almost 2 years. They are still out there, they are still refusing to return my money. I have filed a lawsuit against them and would encourage anyone conned by them to do the sameThey are crooks and scammers-steer clear! I will update as necessary. Thanks!

This rip off company is still refusing to refund my money and I am filing suit to recover my $12,980.00 for Prepaid phone card locations- they had the nerve to ship 6 boxes of these useless cards to my home when I refused to send them YET more money for "locating fees"!
The good news is that the Louisiana State Attorney General has found enough violations of Global Ventures, Miami Florida, to sue them for bilking a Louisiana retiree in the same scam. ( see La Attorney Generals website for full report on this suit) While it does not directly help me, it is encouraging to know that this scam will now receive national attention for exposing these scum bags for what they are. I encourage anyone mixed up in this mess to KEEP FIGHTING! They have violated state laws-they have ripped us off. Report them to RIP OFF report, your state attorney general or any other agency that may take an interest.!
I will do whatever it takes to recover my losses and prevent anyone else from throwing money at these lying thieves!
