I met Nancy through Ebay a few years ago and considered her to be a dear friend. I bought jewelry from her through Ebay and directly and never had a major problem. I knew that she sold items for some of her customers so we discussed her selling a couple of my rings. I sent them to her about two years ago. She valued them much, much lower than the appraisals I had but I trusted her as a friend and diamond broker. She was refusing to sell the one large marquise diamond to a dealer in New York for $3100.00 because she didn't want him to think he could lowball her on prices. I was really in need of the cash so she finally sold it - the center stone - to him. This price did not include the two .20 side stones or the setting. She told me that her girlfriend, Dina Dimarco, was sending me the check. I waited for the mail for five days before asking her about it and she claimed she never said she was sending it. She also had agreed to give me $1000.00 for the round 1.28 carat stone. She then put me off with different excuses. The last being she was making her house payments to some lawyer who wasn't paying the mortgage company. She said was going to be foreclosed on and she and Dina, along with their son, Christian and their dogs were going to have to move to her family's farm in New York. She quit calling me to chit chat or bid up Ebay auctions for her. I decided to purchase auction items on Ebay to recoup my money. I won a pair of marquise studs and sent her a message saying " now you only owe me " the amount left on her debt. She got upset and said that she would get in trouble with Ebay so I sent her an email through them saying I mixed her up with another seller. She then complained about the $70 or so she would have to pay them in fees so I told her to cancel the transaction ( which she had done a couple of times in the past when I happened to be the high bidder on items she had me bidding up for her ). She told me she would get a package together for me and get it out to me. It's been months and that was the last time I heard from her. I defended this woman last year when she first appeared on your site when a customer was complaining about a certified diamond. I still stand by that and feel she was wronged. I never in my wildest dreams thought she would turn on me like this. The $4100.00 did not include the settings which I figured she could keep for her trouble. I am now going to have to sue her to recoup my money. So much for friendship!
