Goibibo is a online travel booking agent. On 6 June 2013 I tried to book a air ticket from Delhi to Bombay for Julythe 8th. After taking my details of my credit card, the following error message appeared "Booking could not be made" In disgust I went to another online travel agent and go my booking in less than 5 minutes. A little later I received a message fron Goibibo they they had booked my ticket. So now I had 2 booking.
Within 5 minutes I spoke to Goibibo customer service and asked them to cancel this booking they had made after I had made an alternate booking. They cancelled my ticket but charged me cancellion charges of Rs 2790 for what was entirely their fault!!
I have written several times to them. They insist that after I received their "Booking could not be made" notification I should have waited for half an hour before making an alternate booking and that their ticket was issued after 10 minutes. This is a ripoff and I hope you can help me to recover these unjust charges.
