In August of 2004 I was contacted by a working associate (Manor Love), who convinced me to scrape together 10,000.00 USD to invest in a HYIP that would ensure my financial future. He is a sponsor of this scam and he gets commissions from the more people he brings in. He told me and 3 other family members that this would pay 120-200% return in six months for 40 weeks. We would be getting 85,000.00 USD a week for 40 weeks.
Well 6 months passed and we got nothing we were told that our program was for two years. We contacted the manager of this scam (Paul Jones), and were told that we would be getting paid shortly. These were lies, and he has fed us more lies as time progresses. I got the member's e-mails from his website and started e-mailing them and some responded stating that they too got ripped off, some responded that they did get paid.
I have been in touch with Agent Jamie Holiday of the Lafayette, Louisiana FBI field office and told them about these two individuals and they have been put on their watch list. The way Paul Jones had us give him the money was to make a deposit into a local Hibernia bank account under the name of Dunbar Estates. Looking back we should have not trusted these lying scammers.
