Scumsuckers can't get enough- can they?

AUTHOR: Lynda - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 21, 2009

My insurance company finally sent me an EOB at the end of September, saying that Lutheran Medical Center had been paid nearly $1500 for the two ER visits.  I thought this was finally over.

NOT!

Gold Key Credit is continuing to pursue me for the other $400 EVEN THOUGH there is no coinsurance in an emergency situation and if there is no hospital admission, my maximum liability is $50 per visit.  Sicne there were 2 ER visits, that works out to $100.

I wrote a c & D to Gold Key Credit's scumsuckers, as I refuse to deal with these jerkoffs and will only deal with Lutheran Medical Center.

They are also harassing me!

In February of this year, I was on my way to a doctor's appointment when I fell and broke my nose, cutting my face as well.  The ambulance driver called my husband and took me to Lutheran Medical Center.  All this on my birthday yet!

Anyway, since I wear glasses that were broken in the accident, I was unable to see.  Not that glasses would have done me any good anyway- you can't wear them with a broken nose!  When my husband got to the ER, he showed them our insurance card.  Since I was unable to see, I couldn't do that.  I also ended up with four stitches on my face and two weeks of being called "Robonose" by my fellow teachers.

I never heard of any problem from Lutheran until I started getting letters from Gold Key Credit in themiddle of June saying that I owed 1900.00.  I called my insurance company and they said my maximum liability was $100- $50 for the initial visit and $50 for the visit when my stitches were removed.  They also said that they didn't receive any informaqtion about this incident until late May, which I found odd.  Three months to initially submit a claim sounded odd to me.  The claim was finally listed as paid in August.

Deanna called me last night from these scam artists at almost 10 pm, which alone is illegal under the FDCPA.  She asked me to give the last four digits of my social security number and I refused, saying that first, I have been the victim of identity theft and did not give that out, and that second, she should have that information already.  She wanted toknow when I was paying this alleged debt of 1900.00 and didn't want to hear that this was never properly sent to my insurance company.  Then she called me a deadbeat when I told her I would deal only with Lutheran.

This morning, I called Lutheran to complain and made sure they they had the correct insurance information so this could be settled already,as I had wasted enough time on this crap.
