This company has some questionable business practices and very rude employees.

In mid-May 2014 a representative of this company rang our door bell offering their services to cut down a large stump and trimm some of our tree's.  We declined the service as we are capable fo doing that service ourself.  A week later another representative again stopped by again offering services.  Again we declined.

On June 5, 2014 our doorbell again rang with a representative from this company standing on our door step.  My 16yo son had answered the door.  The representative said to him:

"your neighbor (gestering and referring to a neighbor behind us having tree work done by this company) is being a *f**k head*and said that your tree stump is ugly and wants us to cut it down.  The cost for that is $350.  Is one of your parents home to pay?"

Thankfully my son has enough wits about him to tell the representative he did not have the right to cut down anything on our property without talking to us first.  He asked the guy for his phone number so he could call his folks and then have us call him back but to not do anything until we called him.  The representative refused to give any information to my son and walked away.

I was nearby at the time and arrived home just minutes after this happened.  I walked over to the neighbors house to talk to them about the stump.  We have known these neighbors for a long time and felt that there was something odd about them complaining to the tree service people about us rather than discussing with us directly. 

As I approached the home the rep from the tree company stopped me - physically blocking me from approaching the home any further.  I told the guy I wanted to talk to the neighbor about his concerns.  At this point the guy said it was not our neighbor but someone from "up the hill" (gestering up a nearby street) and that he did not know who he was or where he lived - just that they had complained about some trees that line the rear lot line.  This was completely different from what he had told my son.

The rear lot line is not visable to anyone but two next door neighbors - the one he would not allow me to approach and another who happened to be outside mowing.  I asked if it was the guy mowing - he said no.  It was an "older gentleman about 40 with gray hair". 

I then attempted to approach the neighbor I had initially started to talk with - again the representative/employee blocked my path and would not let me approach.  I told him this was none of his business, it was between neighbors and to allow me to talk with my neighbor.  He refused. 

Being at least a foot taller than I (I am a woman), male, and quite a bit younger I was quite concerned about my safety at this point.  So I went home.  I then phoned my neighbor to discuss this with him.  I felt 100% confident that he had not complained about us - but wanted more information about the tree company. 

After talking with my neighbor and several others in the area I learned that this company is not one that I want to do business with.  They had a dispute with two different neighbors about quality, price, and timeliness of work.  The one neighbor I was prevented from speaking with had already issued a stop work order against them, contacted the city, and had contacted the police. 

Appears they were either attempting to drum up business or start a neighborhood fight.  Didn't work.  My husband has asked that they refrain from walking on our property for any reason or we will call the police.  If they touch any of our tree's we will be contacting the police and our attorney.  Shady people.

They state they are licensed and insured - however the state of Minnesota has no record of business license for them by their name or phone number.  The website is less than helpful and calls to the company go unanswered.
