Golden Eagle Leasing - SKS Associates Northern something Unauthorized debit of my checking account New York, New York

Years ago in the 1990s, I leased a credit card machine from Golden Eagle Leasing.  A couple years later I tried to end the contract.  I had to pay off the contract to end the lease and return the machine.  I found the amount they charged to be extravagant and found consumer complaints about them on the internet.  Ending the contract took at least 3 months before they would stop debiting my account.  I received a letter on March 10, dated March 1 on the letter, and the enveloped was postmarked March 8, 2011.  This letter says that SKS Associates of NY has acquired the rights of certain leases owned by Golden Eagle Leasing and they will debit my account on March 14, 2011, for taxes, filing costs and processing fees that were not paid.  I ended the contract at least by 2002 and had confirmation that the contract was satisfied.  At this point I'm not sure where my paperwork is.  I know from dealing with them in the past that they take the money from your account no matter how much you dispute.  I have tried to call the number listed but I get a recording and it just hangs up when you are suppose to be able to leave a message.

Does anyone know how to deal with this?  Is this legal?
