I fell on hard times due to divorce. I have dealt with other debt collectors and set up my own payment plans with them.

I can't even get these people to call me back or answer an email through their website. I proposed two payment plans with no answers. Now I have received a notice in the mail that I'm being sued. It looks phony and the phone number of the courthouse is not even in service.

I have reported them to Capital One who are the original owners of this account. I am waiting now to see if they can take back the account or give it to another debt collector that I am already dealing with.

I am not paying anyone that I do not speak to first.
