Gabriel Garcia of San Diego scammed me out of $15K. He came to a local real estate investors meetup and claimed he was a savy investor. He was looking to close on a property that he planned to flip and was $15K short. He said he would need a short term loan and would sign a promissory note. Turns out he made the property up and never returned the money or any calls or emails.
If anyone encouters this individual stay far away.
I found out later that he ended up serving prison time for prior scams he commited.
The name of his probation officer for anyone wanting to verify this.
