Well I'm hear to talk about the Goodwill online auctions. I've been shopping online with them for a few months buying gold Jewelry and silver coins, well at least trying too.  I started to realize a seriously deceptive trend because it couldn't be a coincidence every single day or every auction.  You see if you watch the jewlery auctions, every piece whether its usable or scrap hits just below the value mark with in the first days of the 7 day auction, what I'm talking about is the cost per gram of gold. Most items get blown out of proportion in a hurry, money wise and guess what sometimes the item shows up again a week or two later, hmmm, did Goodwill out bid someone. I feel Goodwill is bidding against everyone. Most people that collect coins, silver, and gold are looking for a profit , I dont think buying high and selling low works to good for most. Goodwill tells you the grams of gold or silver of each piece, Why?They know who and what their primary customers are looking for. For example an auction shows up for one 1920 silver dollar and what do you know its at $52.00 plus their redicules shipping fees (actual value around $23). Question would a collector buy that? No, would a green bean that doesn't know anything about coins buy it? maybe! but every single coin auction, I don't think so it's too unbelievable. Instead of trying to punk everyone they should just find a refinery and sell all the coins, silver, and gold to them. oh and don't get me started on there shipping fees, if they don't take advantage of you in the auction they will with the shipping. I'm done with Goodwill for life, never could stand dishonesty on any level. Good luck and be careful!!!
