Wow, your experience sounds similar to mine but the irony is that we went to two different Scher Tire Inc. locations (50 miles apart).  I'm really starting to sense this automotive repair company Scher Tires Inc. engages in dishonest business practices and will pull shady stunts to make $1000. 

They destroyed a very expensive part on my vehicle (Brake Caliper) and refused to admit that they broke it.  They blamed my car's brakes for being faulty in which I never asked them to work on in the first place (just the routine oil change).  My car is brand new has only 25miles on it, however $60 turned into $1000. 

They then offered to repair the damages by charging me $1000 and offered to give me one year no interest and no payments on their 'Goodyear card'.  Long story short I had to drag the poor car out of their shop by towing it (AAA) because they refused to put my car back together and claimed it was no longer drivable. 

I'm very disgusted and upset there are people out there preying on customers in this manner to make money.  I filed a claim with the Bureau of Automotive and am now suing for reimbursement.    You should report them as well.  Please put a stop to this.

Goodyear like repair places will scam you! ALL PLACES LIKE GOODYEAR ARE RIP OFFS!!!! a tune up will cost you around $50 tops!! A new Radiator with hoses from autozone could be purchased for less than $300 and it's a Honda....anyone could perform these repairs. I had a similar experience with Goodyear. My 2000 Honda Civic Si needed a tune-up. I was just too lazy to do it. They had an add in the pennysaver for a $60 4 Cylindar tune up. I went in and talked to the guy who i could tell was a shady d****ebag, and he walked me out to take a look at my car. Obviosly my car is a 4 Cyl. but he proceeded to tell me that since I had a performance engine and small performance upgrades that I would HAVE TO HAVE their full service lube jobs and EVERY flush and fill job possible. And that I was NOT ABLE to JUST have my spark plugs, spark plug wires replaced and my timing checked. I looked at him and said "HELL NO DO YOU THINK I'M STUPID?!" I myself am extremely mechanically inclined and I know what I'm doing and talking about when it comes to Hondas. All in all they tried to charge me over $300 for a full "tune-up" I walked out flipped 'em off and did it myself. LoL But yeah. Goodyear and ALL other corporately owned shopd like this are all rip offs and should never be trusted by anyone!!
