I was never scammed by these companies, but I am sick and tired of seeing so many people getting ripped off.  So While I was looking on the internet for some freelance writing work (I work for a legitimate company and yes I do get paid) I ran accross the site workathomescams.net.  So I went on it to see what it was all about.  I am a regular reader of fraud and scam reports, so it looked interesting.  Only when I got to the spot of the page where it gave the information on the "real" companies that pay, it was a listing for two more scam companies!! And if you click on the links, it brings you to another site that has been known for its scams.  Like I said I am getting sick of these sites and people getting ripped off, so i used the whois domain name search and found that Unique Marketing Solutions is the company responsible for the workathomescam.net site.  And Moniker.com is responsible for the other one.  I have contacted both of these companies as it states in the terms of service that they do not allow such actions to take place and I requested an explanation and that the sites be taken down.  I have gotten no answer from either of them!  So I am filing a report here in the hopes that someone will finally get to the big name companies that are allowing scams like these to exist.

Anything With Google in its Name as a "Work @ Home" is an Outright SCAM!

AUTHOR: GoGe77 - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, January 09, 2010

This is for Mr. Luis Estevez,
I would like you to know that in my experience, anything that is a work at home with Google in its name is a scam. THE ONLY LEGAL WAY TO MAKE MONEY WITH GOOGLE IS TO GET AN ADSENSE OR ADWORDS ACCOUNT OR USE GOOGLE APPS FOR DOMAINS! If you did not get it from Google.com, it is not Google and therefore a scam. As a matter of fact, Google is in the process of suing the people and sites who use Google's name in these work @ home scams. If you google-lol- the phrase "google suing scammers" you will see...

Also, anything that requires an upfront payment for anything is also a scam. Even if it is a "Free Trial" or you are just "Paying Shipping & Handling" is most likely a scam as well. ANYTHING that requires a credit card upfront is most likely a scam.

Let me explain:
This is because if you read the fine print in full of the "TOS" or "Terms of Service" or however they have their contract named, you will see that if you do to call and cancel, before the "trial period" expires, they will charge your card sometimes up to $100 for every month after the trial period ends that you have not canceled as of yet. It is always a good habit to get into to read all of the terms of service before entering any financial information, as once these companies have this info it is very difficult to get them to stop charging your card. Many times ex-clients will have to go as far as terminating their bank account and tearing up their cards to get the companies to stop charging the card, even AFTER they have canceled the service or product.

Now don't get me wrong! There are in fact legitimate work at home businesses out there. I work for one, as a matter of fact, and I receive a 1099 at the end of the year and pay my taxes just like anyone else. But anyone claiming you will get rich quick or make '$10,000 in 24 hours" is scamming you. Unless you are the best drug dealer in the world, or selling a massive amount of really good stocks, there is no legitimate way to make that much money in one day.

Yes, work at home is a very real thing, but it is not quick, nor is it easy. But I will tell you this. I signed up for free and have not paid a single cent since I began. That is how you tell the difference between legitimate work @ home and scams.

Ask yourself these questions:
Do you have to pay for he "opportunity" to get started?
Do you have to pay small fee for a for a "trial period" before the regular price starts?
Do you have to pay shipping and handling charges? (remember most work legitimate at home businesses are all done online and there is nothing to actually send you-a scam in itself!)
Is the person youa re signing up with promising you will be able to buy a house with your earnings by the end of the week?
Are they promising you will be rich in 24-48 hours?

DO YOU HAVE TO PUT UP ANY MONEY AT ALL? EVEN A TINY LITTLE ONE DOLLAR BILL?

If you have answered yes to at least one of these questions, IT IS A SCAM and get out of there!

The best thing to do? Cease all contact with the person (or business) and report them. Then close your bank account (if they have your financial info of any kind) and report them to the police in your area.

These crimes are sometimes considered federal crimes and carry a heavy penalty, meaning if the people running them ever get caught, they can possibly go to jail for a long time. So they will try to get as much money out of you as they possibly can before you catch on to the game.

I wish you luck, Mr. Estevez-If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to ask questions, be it of the people you are considering buying from, or com here and look us up. I am always glad to help! I await your reply as I would like to see how things turn out.

And I just want to be clear again, I was not scammed by the companies I named here, these companies are involved in internet scams somehow, either by renting the domains to the scammers or selling the scam themselves... and I wanted to uncover them to others for what they really are, all the while hoping someone like yourself will see the post and learn something and maybe not lose any money or get in too seep. The fact that you came to this forum first means to me that you are a smart man, and that maybe my words have helped in some way, which is all I really wanted. So, thank you! Please let me know how it turns out... As a matter of fact, you can find me by googling JC Torpey if you like and leave me a comment to let me know how it goes, if you like.

The"Employees" are hopeless spambots

AUTHOR: GoGe77 - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, December 17, 2009

The only reason I am responding is because I finally figured out what is happening. The responses by the "Employees" are most likely spambots. It's obvious the entry is not being read and the response is laways the same. I am figuring no one actually cares to whta is going on, and now I am a little more educated, I will be going for the throat of the companies involved. I am sick of all this crap and BS that goes on in cyberspace.

I sincerely hope that no one falls for the Google scams. But if they do, they deserve to be scammed. The owners of most of the cmpanies involved is on his way to life in prison. So if you still buy, you seserve what the company will do to you.

Did You read The Report?

AUTHOR: GoGe77 - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, November 20, 2009

Wow, Catherinejones, did you even read my report? I never had a subscription, and I never ordered anything and I am certainly not a customer. Who do you work for anyway? Why did you not mention that in your comment? Of whom are you an employee? I mentioned a few different sites and companies and your response is quite confusing, especially considering it has nothing to do with the report I filed.  Could you please clarify your answer and this time don't have a robot write it, and maybe even read the report to begin with.

I would like to clarify a few things. Mr. Rafael from

Chelmsford

United Kingdom, if this truly is not you, or the company from Scotland, than I apologize. But I would like to know, however, why was my email not answered concerning this? I emailed the Webmasters of all sites included in the report.

I do have the WhoIs information, meaning I have the ip address and that address omes form within your company, which is why I named the compnaies I did. If this truly not you, than I suggest filing a report because someone is using your company and address and spoofing your website. I went to the website with the ip address concerned and it is indeed the Unique Marketing Solutions site. At least that is what it looks like on my end.

You can see I am not a nasty person, and I would never cause trouble for anyone, but I do think a scam such as the one I encountered is unforgivable, which is why I did and said what I did. I am not looking for compensation, I just want these sites taken down for the frauds they are.

Hi there.

I work for Unique Marketing Solutions in Essex, England, and I would just like to make it crystal clear that we are not the Unique Marketing Solutions mentioned in this report. The same goes for Unique Marketing Solutions in Scotland, who are yet another completely different company.
