In late March after seeing Google Profits Ad on my Christian web site being advertised I felt comfortable enough to check it out. The claim was that you could make really good money sponsoring ads for company's using Google Ad Words. The Ad used an example of a Christian Mother who did this very thing and is making 5000 a month or week part time. No big deal right? Well like these ads are always set up you have to pay a little to find out what to do. In this case it stated all you had to do is pay shipping and handling 1.95 to get the materials. Now I am sure somewhere in the Ad it had an * saying somth8kng to the contrary but I did not notice. All I saw was 1.95 shipping and handling. So I did it with my debit card. A few weeks later I was checking my account and noticed a hold on 95.00 dollars. I went back to research the ad to find that it enrolls you in their program plus they automatically enroll you in some other company's programs. I started making phone calls to them and with in minutes I got them to refund my 95.00. I did not notice at the time but there was a 47.00 hold as well. Later that same day I called them back and asked that it be removed or refunded. They told me ok, it will take 7-10 business days. Well guess what? It has been 10 business days, 14 days and they still have not done it. I called this morning and asked what the hech is going on. After being on hold for 10 minutes they told me that my account was showing inactive. BS! I told them my account is not in active. The guy I was speaking with sounds very confused every time I call. He is most likely 18-22 years old and has no idea what's going on either. Bottom line is I don't like getting ripped off. I informed him to let the powers to be known that I was going too post this all over the internet to make sure no one else falls victim to this scheme. I know this company is not in any way affiliated with Google, so please don't hold this against them. It is too bad that people wake up every day and do this type of stuff and get away with it. It is my fault; I am old enough to know better.

Good luck to all those who are trying to get refunds from them. My next stop is the AGs office for my state.

P.S. The Christian web site dropped the AD and issued an apology

Re: Christian Womens Website

AUTHOR: Concerned - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 07, 2009

I have done internet contract work for a website with the domain: ChristianWomensWebsite.com.

When doing a search for that domain, I came across a complaint on your rip off site. This complaint has nothing to do with ChristianWomensWebsite.com. Nothing at all. However, because of your publishing methods, this incredibly genuine Christian website has been tainted on the internet. How search engines treat your complaints and how people WORD those complaints need to be taken into account at your ripoff reporting site.

Shame on you for not requiring specific company names, and accepting general terms instead from people with a gripe.

signed,
Concerned.
