GOOGLE TREASURE CHEST I ORDERED A CD ABOUT GRANTS FOR SHIPPING OF $1.97, THEY ALSO CHARGED ME $79.95 FOR HIDDEN SERVICES. THEY REFUSED TO TAKE THIS OFF MY CREDIT CARD. THIS IS A RIP OFF AS IT IS MISLEADING THAT YOU ONLY HAVE TO PAY $1.97 FOR THE CD. SANDY UTAH *NOTICE..!! this ripoff has nothing to do with Google search engine - many rip-off businesses use the Google name to fool consumers.
* : For someone who screams about "fine print"...
THIS IS A HEADS UP FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT READ THE FINE PRINT ON THESE OFFERS. WHAT IT CLAIMED TO BE WAS A CD ABOUT GRANTS BUT IN THE TEXT BELOW IT SIGNS YOU UP FOR SOME KIND OF WORK AT HOME INFORMATION THAT COSTS $79.95 AND IS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE FOR 7 DAYS AND YOU HAVE TO CANCEL IN 7 DAYS OR YOU GET CHARGED THE $79.95.
MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND I CALLED AND TRIED TO GET THIS TAKEN OFF MY CARD AND THE GUY WHO ANSWERED DIDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH WELL AND WE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND MUCH THAT HE SAID, EXCEPT THAT HE WOULDN'T TAKE IT OFF MY CHARGE. *** DON'T FALL FOR THIS "SCAM".
Wiser now

For someone who screams about "fine print"...

Why didn't you heed your own advice and read it?
On ALL of these sites, if you look for the "fine print" (from a link marked "terms" at the very bottom of the page), you quickly see that you're not just getting the $1.95 CD, but are actually being signed up for that service and up to 2 or 3 others at the same time, and each "service" needs it's own contact to be unsubscribed from.
It's right there....
In "black and white".
Along with the other travesties... The amounts coming out of your account each month. The fact that if you wanna sue these guys, you'll have to travel across the country, or to the U.K. if you live in Canada.
Come on.. A CD that's going to get you free government cheese for only $1.95? When you know that they have the overhead of a web presence, people answering phones and office space, plus the postage and the equipment to produce the CDs?
And the $1.95 price tag didn't strike you as maybe a little out of line??
Come on.
