I'm surprised to see so few complaints about "Gottapay.com" a lesser known online payment company similar to ---.
A friend of mine used gottapay for some online business. His problems started when he requested the VISA debit card they offered to have access to his account via ATM machine. He's in Europe. He tried TWICE to get the card sent to him, and paid the fee required TWICE. He never got the card.
So he sent the money to me, I'm in the USA. Then I could transfer it to my bank account and I could send him the money myself. So I signed up.
I entered all my bank info, and they debited the obligatory 2 small amounts from my account to "verify" the bank account.
Once my bank account was verified, I put through the bank transfer request. That was on Friday August 18. As of this date, Monday September 11, the withdrawal still says "pending" as it's status.
The website says it takes 7 to 10 days for a bank transfer. So on September 1 I went looking on the site for contact info. What I found was, there is no phone number listed to reach them. Their mailing address is in Olongapo City, Zambales Phillipines. The only way to contact them is via email. Strange.
OK, so I emailed them on September 1 stating:
"Hello. I requested a withdrawal from my gottapay account to be sent to my bank
account on Saturday, August 19. Today, Friday September 1, it is still showing
as PENDING.
Please research the delay on this withdrawal and report back to me ASAP.
The withdrawal transaction number is XXXXXXXX. The net amount of the transaction
is XXX.XX
Thank you"
By Wednesday September 6 I had no reply, nor any deposit. So, being agitated, I sent another email, attaching the first email as reference. This one said:
"Hello. Please see the email below, sent to you on Friday September 1. As of today,
WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 6 I have neither received a reply nor has the transfer changed
it's PENDING status, nor has the amount been deposited into my bank account.
Your site says that transfers take 7 to 10 days, this has now been 18 days. This is unacceptable. If I do not receive the transfer OR an email explaining the delay
and your steps being used to correct the problem within the next 2 days I will have no alternative but to seek corrective action via other legal venues. I will also
have no alternative but to post wherever possible, including online blogs, message boards, etc, a detailed account of my experience with this transaction and your
company warning other potential victims of your business practices.
Your site is beginning to exhibit signs of internet fraud, such as 1. your encryption certificate used to ensure security expired in JUNE, 2. You offer NO opportunity to contact your company via telephone, only email, and 3. You are unable to reply to email, your only form of communication offered for customers, within a timely manner.
I find it interesting that there was NO delay WITHDRAWING the "verification amounts" from my account, yet the time stated by your site to DEPOSIT amounts for this tranfer has DOUBLED. Obviously the problem is not with my bank account, your withdrawals went through without a hitch."
So here I am, Monday September 11 and nothing has changed. No email reply, no change in the withdrawal "pending" status, nothing.
True to my word, I am posting this account of my first and LAST experience, 1 week shy of a month, with gottapay.
I checked other complaints on this site about them, and saw only 2. Is this an isolated case or am I just not finding the reports? I did notice that the other reports were about 1 or 2 yrs old, and mentioned being able to contact gottapay by phone, AND the number seemed to be in the USA. Apparently that has changed since then.
As much as I hated --- and all their "issues" and terms changing with the seasons, the one thing I never had a problem with was a bank transfer... THEY said up to 7 days and I always had those in no more than 4 days.
If anyone else has had problems like this with gottapay with any results, please post so I can see how this might play out. One reporter's issue was very similar to mine, and they waited 4 months for their transfer....

And still waiting....

As of today, Monday October 2, I'm still waiting to get my transfer. I've sent a couple more emails, still with no reply. I filed a complaint on ic3.gov against them, so we'll see what happens. I emailed gottapay back and informed them I filed the complaint and am prepared to go the distance against them, including prosecution.... and of course, no reply to that either. wish me luck.

more questionable info

Today I found a San Diego address and fax number on the gottapay site to fax the application to for an ATM Mastercard. So I did a search online in the assorted yellow and white pages on the address, the fax number, and just the company name. All returned no results. Just one more reason to question their validity.
Oh, and as a follow up to my original post. Looking back at the other gottapay postings, it looks like the one who reported a similar issue got their money in around a month, not 4 like I originally said and since I sent a link for this report to gottapay, I want to be sure all my information is correct.
Of course, they had an actual phone number to follow up with. I wonder where that phone number went in the year since that posting?
