Government Grant Information Center (Michael Johnathan) Get banking info to 'deposit' $5000 Grant money into account St. George Utah

Receive initial call around 8:15pm (3/31/05). They claim to be from 'The Government Grant Information Center' and that his name was Michael Johnathan his number with the company was 0695. The man has since called more than 5 times and left messages on my voice mail. He has called even as late as 9:25pm. Very persistant in wanting my banking information.

When I confronted him with them having had called once before in February and that they wanted money, money I would not give them they tried telling me that the United States Government wanted me to have this money. That the credit bureau in the state of michigan gave my information to the government and that I qualified for this money.

I told the man that if the United States had wanted to give me money, they would have sent me the information in the mail, and/or would have just mailed me a check. I kept refusing to talk with him and hung up on him twice. Very persistant. If they try again tomorrow I will file a complaint with the police and do some research to see whom else I can contact. Usually, if I have to make a phone call or write a letter, whom ever drove me to it, does not fare well in the long run. How do they think to get away with it and HOW could anyone be so stupid as to give them actual banking information. To begin with, they sound like they are calling from India or there abouts. Why would anyone possibly believe them? I hope this helps in some way.
