I was trying to look up an old friend and I tried several of the so called Free look ups. I spotted this ad for GovRegistry. Price seemed fair for 1 year of service just $24.95 so OK I'll try. Entered all my info, pressed the button.. No Results. So I tried a couple of other names.. No Results. Then it asked me to sign up for Inteligator that would help complete my research, only $4.95 this time for 3 days, sounds fair. Entered my info. No Results. So I entered my own name. Seems like I don't exist either.
There is no one or way to contact, to complain to and it seems like no way to get my money back either. Sure hope the real government looks into this fraud deal. I need my money back. I also need to find out how to cancel my renewal before they get me again. I really feel violated
Their largest information bank is probably filled with people they have Ripped Off..

If you browse the complaints about this company around this site, you will see that Govregistry and Inteligator have indeed responded to some of the complaints. You will also see that all of these responses are exactly the same.
I contact both Govregistry and Intelligator to seek a refund for this "service." Both companies (which are obviously the same company) sent me the same email asking me to tell them the details of my search.
The only difference in both emails was the name of the customer service representative. One was Samantha Charge and the other was Sophia Lennox. There are porn stars with more believable names.
The truth is that there is no customer service with this company. They essentially steal your money and give you no product whatsoever.
This scam is ripe for the class-action picking.....

I have also had a bad experience with Inteligator.
Not only was the service sub-par, but customer service was lacking. I was overcharged and the company refused a refund. Similar to the response posted by the company employee, there were nice-sounding words but no action and no real care for the customer. They are obviously aware of the problem because a number of people have the same complaint (not only on this site, but on many others as well), but have chosen not to take steps to provide adequate service.
Not only am I going to dispute their charge with my bank, I am also going to make some noise - on the internet, by word of mouth and in complaints to the company. I suggest everyone who is a similar situation do the same - you can find the company details by searching the internet.
