I am a merchant and I listed my products with Grabcart with the understanding that customers would pay though paypal (I cannot stop an order before it is made, so the cycle begins):
Consumers, my customers, buy the products from Grabcart.com and I have to deny the purchase. This is a burden of cost to both my customers and myself. Therefore, I am here in hopes to get the word out about Grabcart.com so they will do something about this and have better business practices.
I signed up as a merchant with Grabcart.com. I emailed them a data feed as they requested. They took that information and they listed my products cheaper than the information that I submitted to them. There was a problem with the prices and all I wanted to do was edit the price. Trust me, there is no way to edit the price under my account. I have had several people look at my account in case I was missing something.
I repeat, Grabcart.com took it upon themselves to lower prices below the cost that I gave to them per there instructions. I submitted a data feed and the prices on their site are not what I emailed to them. Now those items are below my cost.
Now, I am trying to cancel my account. I have emailed them on more than one occasion. In return, they are not answering emails. I have been trying to cancel my account for a week. It is the first week in August 2009 and still not a word from them. I have emailed them, as stated in the Terms of Use (Termination), in order to cancel my account. That email was to admin. I also emailed them at support, sales, general, and advertise begging to cancel my account. I have emailed all 5 email addresses once a day for a week straight. They have yet to respond.
Keep in mind, I sell items on the internet for a small percentage. I make about $4 on every hundred dollars ($100) in sales.
In addition, they are still charging me for sales at a going rate of $1 plus 6.95% and orders are starting to roll in (not good).
I am having to email each customer and inform them about this ongoing conflict and offer to do all I can for this mistake. I don't mind doing right by my customers. That is one of the reasons why I am in business. It is about treating people fair.
What I do have a problem with is when someone provides a service for a charge ($1 per transaction plus 6.95%) and then does not give me the opportunity to correct improper information (the price), or do anything about it (cancel my account so it will stop cost my customers and me).
After some research I found some information about the address listed on their site:
---------------
FOR SALE
835 Kipling Avenue
Toronto
KIPLING & SIX POINT

Office Size: 5,140 Sq Ft
Clear Height: 15' 8"
Shipping Doors: 1 Drive-In
Price: $1,579,000
Comments / Special Features: Live / work opportunity
There is a picture of the place listed on the CPM Realty Corporation site.
------
I have tried to email Grabcart from different alias email addresses and still no response.
The funny thing about all this, when I went through the application process, some guy named Jason Barry was there to respond within minutes.
I write this to inform all individuals, even other merchants, of their general business practices. In addition, I am asking for help.
I cannot edit, delete, or do anything to my products listed on their (www.grabcart.com) site. What am I to do?
Signed,
Me
PS. I am trying to keep myself anonymous until I can sort this problem out. I fear retaliation from them for writing this report.
Example: Lowering my prices even more.
Afterthought:
Oh yeah, there is another report found on this site with the rebutal of http://www.grabcart.com taking customer service very seriously. Does this sound like they are taking customer service seriously?

**Update
AUTHOR: Concernedmerchant - (U.S.A.)

I wanted to update my update. Grabcart.com did finally email me to inform me that my products were removed. I assume that the legal department from The Planet advised them to remove the products due to copyright laws. That is the only email, as of this writing, that I received from Grabcart.com
Sincerely,

I apologize to anyone that felt a bit of suffering trying to read my original submission. (Ha, ha).
--Let the update begin:--
After writing my previous submission here at ripoffreport.com, I have yet to hear anything from Grab Cart. Not one single email from them. However, my problem has been resolved and I wanted to update eveyone on the actions that, as of this writing, I have taken so that it may help someone else in the future.
(Side thought:I hope I am doing the formatting correctly.)
I sent an email to Grabcart, and The Planet, a couple of hours after my ripoffreport.com submission. Here is the letter I wrote:
---START OF LETTER TO GRABCART.COM---
Account information:
Merchant: iscorp
Store: http://www.grabcart.com/store/iscorp
Grabcart.com Account email:sales@worldofproductsonlinecatalog.com
You are listing my products below cost.
I have sent several emails to several different email addresses asking you to cancel my account. I added a new one this time:
gifts@grabcart.com
-AND-
admin at the planet dot com
(Your hosting company, in hopes that someone will read this email and contact me. At the very least, contact you and mention this problem.)
This all started when I submitted my data feed and somehow the wrong price was listed on your site. The prices on Grabcart.com are not the same as the data feed. The data feed that I sent and your site now have incorrect prices. I was willing to edit them one at a time and realized that I don't have the option.
As of this writing, I owe Grabcart.com $15.43 USD for an order that was placed on August 2nd. I sent emails asking to cancel my account before that date and before someone, a consumer, placed an order. My fear, at that time, is an order would be placed. An order has been placed and your site shows that I owe Grabcart.com $15.43.
I think that is fraud, I will be talking to an attorney's office in 6 hours and 30 minutes (That would be 10am EST) and contacting the following sites if someone does not contact me by then:
ConsumerFraudReporting.org/reporting.php
ic3.gov
I am sure someone will listen to me:
http://www.ccmostwanted.com/report/report2.htm
Please remove the products from my account.
That is all I will say on this matter. I am going to let someone else, on my behalf, talk to you. You will not get another email from me.
---END OF LETTER TO GRABCART.COM---
Two important notes about the above letter:
1. I edited the admin at the planet dot com because of search engines and mail-bots (email harvesting software). The Planet has been a savior in this.
2. The admin at the planet dot com email did return a failure notification from postmaster at the plane dot com so I forwarded the email to them.
The date for the above letter is Monday, August 03, 2009
Within the hour of writing this letter, The Planet dot com (Grabcart.com's hosting provider) responded to me and stated that they would forward my information to the legal department for copyright infringement.
As of this writing, I work late night hours and love every minute of it. I say that to say this; when I woke up to start my day, the night of Monday, August 03, 2009 at 10:00pm all my products have been removed from my storefront at Grabcart.com
--An apology to all my customers--
I am sorry that you had to experience any negative results from my actions with Grabcart.com. My heart cries because my actions led to your experience. I will take full responsibility for that. I will bear the weight of my burdens, and hopefully, my memory will always be strong enough to remind me of this day.
I hope that one day you will forgive my actions and know that I carry sorrow with me for making such a decision. I have seen the direct results and the impact it has on others from making improper business decisions. I will take heed and use this experience to become a better person. Please know that I did my best to care for each one of you and I will carry your names with me always.
Thank you for reading my words,
Tom Collins

PS. I will give updates if anything transpires in the future. Especially, if Grabcart's Customer Service support@grabcart.com ever sends me an email.
