I was very suspicious of this guy the moment I met him by the way he was dressed and the vehicle arrived in but I gave him the benefit of the doubt & decided to let him in my home to repair my fridge. Mr Chris Grace takes off the back panel & looks in for literally 2 minutes and declares my compressor was bad and it was going to be $1000 to replace/repair. He didn't test anything at all. He didn't check electrical components, nothing. He peeked his head in and declared my fridge not repairable.
I guess he felt I was someone rich who would throw him $60 for 2 minutes of what could not be called work. I was confident he had no idea what he was talking about and was after my money. As to avoid a confrontation with him I wrote him a check and stop payment on it before he left my driveway. I hope your bank charged you for depositing my check. All I know is you didnt get my money. Who knows how many other people this guy has scammed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!

My name is Chris Grace.
Im sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with our service, We have 30 years of experience with refrigeration and appliance repair. Many times we can diagnose a unit by just listening to it and hearing the symptoms. It does not take us very long to identify most problems due to our experience. Many compressors will make a distinct sound as they try to start that indicates that they are locked up and need replacement. We do charge that amount to replace a compressor on most refrigerators and some even more. Replacing a compressor entails many things and is not something that most appliance repair companies will even replace due to licensing laws regarding the handling of freon.
Much goes into our service fee of $60. First we have to pay for advertising to even get your business. We have to pay for vehicles, insurance (auto and business), parts , accountants, schooling, Dispatcher and more. So the fact that we charged you $60 for driving to your house and telling you what was wrong was very reasonable in todays day and age. Regardless of the fact that it only took me 2 minutes to figure out his problem.
Read the revue Carefully.
He never said that we were wrong on our diagnosis. He said his belief wAS THAT I did not know what i was talking about. However, he never stated that he called someone else for a second opinion. If he did he would had stated that in his complaintt. And added the fact that Grace Appliance repair was wrong and they dont know what they are doing. THAT is NOT The case though. We were correct on our diagnosis!
He is simply mad that we charged $60 to enter his house and did not stay very long. If he in deed stopped payment on the check. He is the one who ripped me off!! I performed the job i was called out to do.
