I have been a resident at Monmouth Woods for about a year and a half, and I would say that my thoughts about it, are not the same they were when I took my tour to move in. Everything looked real nice and well maintained. Of course the biggest attraction we had was the pool because the kids really like the water.

In the course of my stay I had several maintence issues which were left unattented even through the Management change. Most of these apartments really have mold issues and your windows look really nasty if you don't keep up with bleaching them. In my daughters room under her carpet by the window there was, or maybe still is, a big rotted out hole with mildew and there was a major draft coming through, bad enough that I had to move my daughters bed around.

You have to understand that this was reported as I moved in and went through complaints to two managements and when I moved out in early 2009-18 month later, it was still there. So just learn to live with it if you don't want to get evicted. Oh yes, seems like you voice your maintenence complain once too much, you pretty much have a note on the door, to vacate. Because of the fact that I moved in late in the year, we had to wait to next summer to use the pool.

The pool was mostly closed for the summer because their pump was broke and they didn't want pay someone to fix it. They even had the nerve to drain the water and refill it without treating it. That pool smelled like rotten eggs. And another thing that was ridiculous was the water bill. One month my bill was around $100, that's crazy.
And if you deal with the office, of course work orders are always been put it's just that nobody ever shows up. Taryn who works the front office is arrogant as they can be and Karen who is the property Manager is just a innocent pushover by the regional office.

The finalization of the move out process is just a big mess and I can't wait for it to be over and done with.
Overall this is just to give you a chance to look at different reviews of this apartment complex and see different opions.

Would I refer a friend -no!! And on a scale from 1-10 they would get a 2.5
