I took a tour with Grand Adventures in September of 2011 and booked because of the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor.  Since they had the highest rating I paid over $100 more than any other comparable tour company for me and my wife to go to the Grand Canyon.  Not only were we picked up late, we were forced to sit in the back of a small van that is very difficult to get in and out of.  I told the driver I do not want to travel in this vehicle, he said I will lose my money if I opt not to go.  The seats are terribly uncomfortable and the driver has to shout for everyone to hear him, it is substandard conditions for a 5+ hour drive ONE WAY.  Was the trip great? no.  The Grand Canyon was great but certainly not the trip to and from.  The other couple sitting in front of us also mentioned that their backs were hurting from the long drive and a seat belt got jammed which blocked passage for the people in the back to get out of the van.  Needless to say, the $300 that I spent for this trip was a ripoff.  I wrote a negative review on Trip Advisor on October 13th, I also noticed 3 other negative reviews during that week.  I figured the least I could do was make people aware of the reality of what they were paying for since you will notice most of the reviews on Trip Advisor are very vague.   The owner wrote a response to my negative review claiming I never took the tour.  One week later, my review is GONE!  Grand Adventures got Trip Advisor to delete my review, and guess what?  The 3 other negative reviews were gone as well!

Grand Adventures miraculously has 4-5 times the number of reviews of any competitor and the only negative reviews that they allow to stay on Trip Advisor are the ones where they didn't pick people up or had to cancel the tour.  They do that on purpose.  You will notice that Grand Adventures does not have even close to 100 reviews on any other review website such as Yelp, Google+, etc. as of the date of this post 02/29/2012.  Another thing that you will observe if you look closely at Grand Adventures reviews is that 99% of the reviews are one time reviews and spaced evenly at about one review every 1-2 days, This is not normal for Trip Advisor reviews!  In fact, there is such a pattern to the reviews that they are bogus.

Do yourself a favor and avoid paying too much money for a vastly inferior tour to the Grand Canyon,  Grand Adventures is exploiting Trip Advisor to take advantage of unsuspecting tourists.  Don't fall for the trap.  The real tour companies are taking hundreds of people a day to the Grand Canyon and don't have the time or the need to write their own reviews like Grand Adventures that only needs 10 suckers a day to fill their one van.

Grand Adventures may be able to delete their negative reviews from Trip Advisor but they won't be able to delete them from here.

Grand-Adventures

Well, as a tour broker for many of the providers in Las Vegas..I've never had 1 complaint re: Grand-Adventures. Mostly compliments. I've been booking tours with Darryl for a number of years and never heard of such things as mentioned. You may want to question tripadvisor about why they delete certain listings or reviews and links. They own Viator.com a very large tour broker. So how biased would they be. Umm!

TripAdvisor does not remove legitimate reviews.  Your review was not legitimate and you never traveled with us.  You failed to provide your booking confirmation number, the name of your tour guide, date you went on tour, and the tour you took with us when asked.  It's no coincidence that this posting coincides with the launching of our new kayaking tour on March 1st.  We had a series of bogus reviews written within a five day span in mid-March along the same tone and theme as this post on Google Reviews.  Why didn't you post this in October if we are such a "fraud" and ripoff?  Why didn't you repost your review on TripAdvisor if you are so legitimate? It's not as easy to get bogus posts like this removed from this website.  Their main purpose isn't to filter out bogus posts, rather use them as an arbitration tactic for financial gain. I do guarantee that by the time this is all done this thread will end with a clarification and apology from you!

It'd be helpful if you left your company name and phone number too so that people can book a tour with you.
