Grant Masters Online Grant Finders, Grantmasters USA Charged fees and no refund and no program, Internet

I was trying to find a grant which would help me to open my own business when I found the grant masters website. I ordered the cd for $1.97. No where did the terms say that I would be signed up for a fee of $79.80 a month.

I waited for the cd to arrive by mail so I could investigate what the cd had and if this program could help me. I got my bank statement online and found I was overdrawn and the transaction which caused me to be so was from grant masters. I called the bank first and told them I did not authorize these charges. We ended up canceling my debit card and having to get a new one, but  could not dispute the charges as they had not been withdrawn yet and were pending transactions. I had to fight to get them to give me a temporary credit for this amount. The told me to call the company. 

I called the 800 # listed for the company on my statement and was connected to a foreign call center. They told me this was a legitimate charge. I fought with them and they finally agreed to cancel the service and that my refund would be sent to me in 7-10 business days. This was in June of 2009. I have called weekly since then. I have never received the cd package and I have not received my refund either.

The last time I called I was given a whole new story. The company tried to tell me that I had called and canceled the service and they had sent me a refund on June 9, 2009. The funny part of that story was that the charge to my bank account was not done until June 13, 2009. So somehow I was supposed to have called them 4 days before I knew about the charge and asked for a refund.

Warning to all who are thinking about using this company. They are a scam and will take your money and you will never receive the promised materials. I ordered in May 2009 and I still today have not received the cd and the bank has put the charges back into my account. I am still fighting this one and I am beginning to think I will never win. I would love to see someone stand up to these people and give us all a chance to get our money back.
