I purchased a CD to help find government grant money. I was charged $1.97 for shipping and handling. I received nothing. On October 22, I was charged an additional $29.95 from the same company and an additional $7.95 on October 30.
When I called my bank to inquire about these charges, the customer representative told me there was no phone number given with the company name. We both thought that was suspicious. The representative then advised me to try to contact them on-line. She also gave me a phone number of an organization that could help verify if this company was legitimate and if so, could supply me with a phone number.
When I contacted the organization, they had never heard of Grant Search Assistance and thought that it might be a scam.
I then contacted my bank and filed a claim to investigate the charges. No other action has been taken.

You can also see that it is disclosed in the Terms and Conditions of the offer. The trial periods are free for 14-60 days depending on which bonus programs apply, the reason we do this is because we want our customer's to have the opportunity to utilize our services and to evaluate the value for themselves. We would not have charged Paula had she canceled during the trial period. It is not our desire to bill clients who do not want the membership after the free trial offer.
