I wanted to help others who may be finding unauthorized charges from this outfit on their bank statements. Like other folks who have written Ripoff Reports in regard to this company, I only authorized charges for $1.99 for a CD I never received I then noticed charges of $39.95 on my online statement for 9/12 and 10/14/08. Never did sere a charge for $1.99 ! I attempted to call the number that appeared on my online banking statement, 800 480-0479 . It was disconnected.

I called my bank, Wells Fargo, and they filed a claim for me to retrieve my funds. They even said that they had received many complaints lke mine and recognized the name Grantmaster. The banking rep was even kind enough to try the 800 number and said the company gave him the runaround. All future charges will be locked. I recalled the bank to verify the 800 number and was told to also try 800 480-4790, an alternate number Grantmaster gave them. It turned out to be a company asking me if I would like to have a "risque" conversation with a hot girl !

I tried another phone number given by one of your Ripoff complainants about Grantmaster, 866 396-5694 and actually reached a person with a pulse at Grantmaster They proceeded to tell me that their website makes it clear that you will be contacted by email after your CD has been mailed to alert you that if you do not call them and cancel 7 days from your date of order, you have automatically consented to monthly charges For most of us, this may mean that the email notification went to your Spam or Suspect email and you may never have seen it.

Since I did notsee an email or receive a CD, I demanded cancellation. I was told that my money would be refunded for only one of the $39.95 charges and some charge for $7.99 that I never even heard of. I was given a cancellation number and will be staying on their case until between them and the bank, my funds are returned.

I am also filing a report with the Better Business Bureau This has been a real headache ! Unscrupulous companies like this break down consumer trust in online transactions.
