Hired on 5/13/2015 to clean up yard on 5/14/2015. Paid $350 Cash. Price included mowing package, gutter package, cluster cleanup in front and side of house. 

 

Mow lawn Package included mowing lawn (Done), weeding whack (Not Done), edge trimming (Not Done) and laying roundup (Not Done). Trim bushes in front of house by leveling with bottom frame of windows. (Not Done)

 

Clean Gutter package included cleaning gutters (Partially done), wiping sides of gutters (Unsure), running hose to clear out gutters (Not done) and clean up debris removed from gutters (Not done)

 

Cluster of trees in front of house included cutting and trimming branches up to six feet high (Not done) and clear ground area of cut limbs, broken branches, leaves, and other debris (Not done)

 

Clear side section of house included moving logs to fire log pile (Not done), clearing branches, rotted wood, and other debris (Not done), chopping remaining tree (Not done) and move logs to fire log pile (Not done)

 

Timeline of events:  job to be completed on Thursday 05/14/2015. After mowing Thomas had to go and promised to be there next morning to finish job. Wrote check for $350. On Friday 05/15 messaged thomas when he was a no show, not hearing from him until 2PM. Informed me check did not clear (signature did not match). Meet Thomas at 4 at bank to get his overcharges reversed and handed him cash. He said he would be there that evening to finish the job.

 

Thomas was a no show. Messaged him and he said he could not make it but would be there at noon on Saturday 05/16. Again Thomas was a no show. Texted but he did not respond. Texted him again that evening and he said he could not make it but would be there Monday to complete the job. Asked him to please email me a work order detailing what the $350 covered. He did not.

 

Monday again he was a no show and did not respond to my texts or facebook messages until the afternoon that day. Said that if he did not get the job completed on Tuesday 05/17, he would refund me the money. 

 

Thomas showed up Tuesday but said he could not complete job (this is when Thomas cleared some of the gutters, leaving the debris on the ground). He also said he would refund me $50 because he would not be able to chop the wood and clear the side area for less than $100. He was suppose to place the refund in my mailbox the following day. That never happened. Asked him again for a work order but he did not complete one. 

 

Said he would come back Thursday and finish the job. Was a no show. Texted him in the AM and again at 1PM asking for a refund. He responding to the refund text saying he would not refund anything other than the $50. Most communication was via text and voice calls. 

 

What we asked for after any failed commitments: Request Thomas refund $300. Thomas has refunded $100 thus far. Initially allowed payment plan but have not requested all payment be received by Saturday May 23 at noon.

all unfinished work paid back

 I have paid this customer all the money to cover unfinished work that I was not allowed to finish. The remaing balance I earned from cutting a large yard that was severely over grow. It took me 3 passes and 2 hours of cutting to get it done. I've made many attempts to do work and even for free. I've paid back a large amount.

Thomas caught in lies

The paper trail is proof enough but because so many people have been scammed by him we all have been camparing notes to build a case against him. We found additional information around "cables" and are reaching out to that person this week so we can file a police report.

this company is not a legal business and should not be able to do business. We will also be notifying the state for possible unpaid taxes. The state's consumer protection has already been contacted and another unfortunate consumer is seeing who else in the state we can reach out to.

 Dina was a customer of mine who originally gave me a bad check. The original day planned for work was put off because of this. Due to other obligations and a rain delay, the job was not done quickly enough for her. So she fired me and demanded all money returned. I paid her back $175 oitbof $350. I earned the rest.

Today company changed name listing on facebook to Outdoor Pro Services. Could not find DBA confirmation online. Could not find registration of business online. Individual located in Youngsville, NC.
