Great American readers I am making 2 payments because of overlapping subscriptions. One was for $35/month the other was $60/month. The $35/month was supposed to stop in November and i am still being charged. Minneapolis, Minnesota

A while ago I signed up for a magazine subscription with great american readers (GAR) and was paying $35/month. While I was paying for that, I was not receiving the magazines I asked for and I was getting magazines i did not want. After a year or so I talked with a service rep and told him my problems. They assured me it would be fixed and I renewed my subscription. In July of 2011, I was told that my new subscription was going to be raised to $59.99/month and it was going to overlap with my first subscription of $35/month until November of 2011. After november, I was still being charged the $35/month from the first subscription as well as the $59.99/month for the new one. They are extremely hard to deal with when you can get a hold of them (which is not often). The service is terrible, I don't get all my magazines and I am paying an absurd amount of money for a total of 2 magazines a month when i was promised 5 magazines a month.
