I placed an online order from YOUCANSAVE.COM from an offer posted on the internet by AAA for anAutopilot Talking Road Navigator on behalf of my parents in October 2003 through an offer by AAA. It was charged to the Visa account of Mrs. Therese E. Mynott.
The item took nearly two months to arrive, and it's performance proved unsatisfactory. It was not user-friendly, and they returned it on 3/2/04 with a specific request that her VISA account be credited for the returned item. Mrs. Mynott's Visa account has yet to be credited. A phone call by my parents to AAA proved fruitless. The enclosed papers apparently didn't provide any other customer service number.
I emailed the vendor, YOUCANSAVE.COM on May 16, 2004 and never received a response. My mom called for my assistance in early June, and mailed me a copy of the U.S. Postal Service Delivery Confirmation Receipt and the accompanying letter she sent with the returned item. I received the info on June 8th.
That same day, after an internet search for the number, I called customer service at GreatBuyUSA and spoke with "Monica". She informed me the item was purchased from one of their "vendors", YOUCANSAVE.COM, and consequently, GreatBuyUSA was not responsible for the reimbursement.
I informed her that I'd emailed them, had received no response and that they had no listed number to call or physical address to which I could mail my reimbursement request. She repeated her response and I asked for a supervisor.
I was connected to "Joanne" who politely listened to my story and repeated Monica's answers. I was incredulous. She was apologetic and sympathetic but ultimately was of little help to me. She repeated the address on the web site to which I could direct my refund request.
This was not the same address to which my parents mailed the item. They sent it back to the shipping address: 6960 Eastgate Blvd, Lebanon TN 37090. I'm redirecting my attention to the P.O. Box # address in Islip, NY in hopes of a response from GreatBuyUSA. In the interim I've also tracked down several complaints against GreatBuyUSA on the internet.
