I have been fighting this since 2013, when I received a statement of monthly due payments in 2013. Parent plus loan abuse and mishandling of funds. Loan fraud committed for a student loan taken out on line in 2010 under my name and social security number. I received no notice or benefit of funds granted by the USDOE. The application only requires an electronic signature. as does promissory note. This company is the servicer yet after being advised of my complaint and following their instruction to make one payment so they may open an investigation and for me to avoid the account from being reported as a defaulted student loan. Eight years later with of accruing interest I cannot fight this . Deferment and forebearances what this company kept advising me to do along with providing police reports. They offer to modify this to a 30 year loan. I am 58 years old and the loan amount has doubled since its origination and funding. In retrospect I now see they strung me along with false hope of canceling the loan for their monetary gain. I had not realized they were the servicer not the lender, as this too was not disclosed. Not only was I ignorant but also a victim to date.
