I recently purchased a vehicle from Steve Nacht at the Greatest Deals on Wheels Las Vegas. It was a 1998 Ford Expedition XLT that was priced at $8000. I took the car for a test drive and thought it was a decent deal. I have bad credit so I put down $6000 cash and agreed to a $100 a week payment, due in 2 week installments. I also decided to pay my first 2 weeks at that time.
The first week I had the truck I received a call from owner Steve Nacht telling me I had missed my first payment, and that I had til the following day to voluntarily return the vehicle to a holding area til I made my payment. I told Steve that I made a 2 week payment last week when I put down the $6000 cash. He was not at all apologetic and offered me an oil change as a compensation. I also mentioned to Steve that my payments, which were supposed to fall on my paydays, were mistakenly scheduled for the middle of my paydays.
I made this known to Steve after every payment. Like clock work, I would receive a call from Steve or one of his "henchmen" stating I was late on my payments. By the end of the 2nd month I had Steve promise me 3 oil changes for mistakenly calling and threatening to reposess my truck when I had made payment.
After about 3 months of the constant calls for "missed" payment, I went to personally see Steve to have this problem rectified. I told Steve that I would like to correct the payment scheule to fall on my actual payday, and even had him (Steve) sign the receipt showing that I made my payment for the 2 weeks, and even paid an extra week so that my payments were not in between paydays.
I woke up on the morning of Feb. 16th and went downstairs to my parking and found my truck missing. I made an inquiry into the police dept where I have contacts to see if my truck had been stolen/recovered.. I dont live in the best neighborhood.. The check came back negative, so I gave him my Lic. plate number and ha him keep an eye out, when he mentioned if my truck had been repo'd. I thought that was funny but it occured to me that with the payment schedule.. it could be possible.
I contacted Steve Nacht and found he did in fact repossess my truck. He came across to me on the phone as a total a*****e stating that I was 3 weeks late and had to come up with payment in full to get my truck back. He also stated the a certified letter was being sent to my home giving me the information I would need to get my vehicle back. He also stated that a reposession fee would be added to my total payment due.
I tried to explain to Steve that I was not late and that his paperwork might need to be checked. He totaly disregarded my statement saying all the information would be mailed to me. I tried several times to get in touch with Steve but always got "He will call you back"
After about a week I still had not received any letter and called Steve to see about the letter and how to get back my property in the truck. I am an investigator for a casino and the truck contained sensitive material as well as duty gear. Steves employees had told me he would call me back. I waited 2 days and ended up calling Steve back. Steve came to the phone and with his "matter of fact" attitude stated he ha mailed the letter on Feb 16th nad that I had 7 days FROM THE DAY HE MAILED THE LETTER to come up with the total payment of $2109.00. When I received this information, it left me with 2 days to come up with the money.
I showed up to the car lot and told Steve I was getting a lawyer and that he had made a huge mistake. Steve told me he had been in business for 35 years and that he knew what he could and couldnt do. I stated I wanted my property out of the truck. Steve asked if I had the keys to which I stated I did not. He preduced a spare and let me in. In the truck was a receipt for the last payment I made. I showed the receipt to Steve an told him "this proves I wasnt 3 weeks late, in fact Im not 3 weeks late now"... Steve glanced at the receipt and made the comment that I was late now...
I talked to some of his employees and inquired as to how much the tow truck charged for the repo. They stated he simply sent two of his employees to my place with the spare key. Which makes his "reposession towing charges" fraudulent. The very fact that he reposessed my truck before I was late made the repossession more of auto theft.
I tried to make every effort to arrange a peaceful and amicable disposition to the incident. Steve Nacht has a "I know it all" disposition and cannot be talked to like a human being. Even his own employees had told me that they cannot stand Steve.
I have contacted many lawyers but most of them are asking for a $1500 retainer. I dont even owe that much on the truck. I am looking for other people who may have come across the same problems and were "robbed" by Steve Nacht and Greatest Deals on Wheels either in New Jersey or Las Vegas. If I can get enough people who can show just cause, and validate their claim I am willing to seek a lawyer for a class action lawsuit and have Mr. Nacht's company closed down for good and his license to sell cars permanently revoked. I am also seeking restitution for all charges, hardship caused by Mr. Nachts theft of vehicles, and possibly bringing charged against Mr. Nacht personally.
Steve Nacht and Greatest Deals on Wheels is a company run by a tyrant and a bad businessman. He runs a dishonest dealership and must be held liable for his dishonesty and illegal acts. I also want Mr. Nacht to be held accountable for the criminal acts and fraudulent charges he institutes to innocent hard working people for his personal gain.
Again, anyone who has had dealings with Steve Nacht and believe they have been "robbed" by this P.O.S. please respond to this posting, or contact me.

Greatest Deals on Wheels must be stopped

I was seriously taken by the owner 'Steve Nacht' of Greatest Deals on Wheels on a purchase I made with him April 08.
There are way too many details in this situation to right everything out at this time.
I would appreciate it if there was a way for all customers taken by this crook to get together and put this man out of business once and for all.
He even has this shady 'Vehicle Acceptance' company playing his games against me with my lien on my vehicle.
He stated to me in a letter back in July of 08 that the company was going out of business and all liens were being taken over by this Vehicle Acceptance company.
Steve just wanted to redirect my attention, because at the time I was heavy on his heels with a long list of problems my vehicle had when I bought it from him.
Now I contact 'Vehicle Acceptance', located in Arizona about trying to take care of some things, they tell me they have to discuss it with the dealership...
WHAT? Here it is April of '09, and you have to discuss something with a dealer that claims to have gone out of business over 8 months ago????
Something is SERIOUSLY crooked about this whole situation.
Anyone can contact my yahoo at caddlife@yahoo
Let's sue this freak for every dime he is worth.

As of todays date 3-20-07 I have still not received any letter from Steve Nacht or Greatest Deals on Wheels as to how to retrieve my vehicle. I also have not received anything in wirting from this company regarding charges for "repo towing" or shown proof that I was 3 weeks late. I have also tried to contact Steve Nacht to resolve this matter and was hung up on.
