Policy through work. We had a high deductible of 5000.0 each or 10,000 combined with a supplemental HSa for drugs, ect. We were well adware of the fact that we would be out of pocket, but felt we could cover 10,000, And we did but once we met it they still denied or claims.Well you basically have to go to Jesus to get a real answer out of this GReat Western M0fo. After we met our 10,000 in July they told me some of the doctors that worked at the hospital where they had pre-approved surgery were out of network so we needed to meet 2000.00 more. They purprosely hold back claims so it looks like you haven't had enough out of pocket processed.They also do not reply to appeals. After getting tired most people just give in. I made them give me notice in July my 10,000 had been met, after that the they gave for denying claims was that the provider (they pre-approved and paid previously) is now magically out of network. If you go for PT they claim it as Chiropractric care and deny the 1st six do not pay them and say you are only allowed processing of 6 per yr no matter what(I don't know what planet they are on but PT is not a chiropractor.D o you know how much Pt cost 3 XWk for 3 months. I Do I Do. So it's been 18 months of this crap, I call today 4/20/2012 and ask them to pull me up on the computer screen, I say, Can you tell me please when my deductible was met? She says yours or your husband's ?I reply both combined the 10 grand she says July, I reply sweetly when was my 12000 met, she replies your deductiblle is 10,000 but it appears that in Aug you had pd 12,000 OOP. I said a little te Te te te so can you tell Me......""WTF you did not pay Drs bills in Oct, Nov, Dec ? She said well my screen shows that you still have another 1000.00 left to go so we applied it to you deductible. I said please explain to me how this works do you just change my deductible all the time or willl I need to meet my GOD to get the answer....?...Please help me to understand.She" well your OOP and deductiblle are 2 different things.
