Extortion Really
AUTHOR: - ()

Thank you Greatwide for your remarks concerning this matter.
Addressing your remarks:
1. No knowledge of pre-trip performed.
Your agents Jason and Angie were informed of trailer condition by myself stemming from pre-trip inspection. How else would Jason have been able to inform broker that brakes wouldn't hold for sliding of tandoms to adjust 37k weight on trailer tandoms. I take blame for following Jason's directions to take trailer to Tulsa OK to pick up load while believing based upon his statements which were recorded that trailer would be repaired. Not to state anything regarding Xtra Lease representative Craig verbally informed Jason via phone regarding no plate and repairs were not Warrented by Xtra Lease due to trailer being sold (AS IS).
Also I noticed you did not address the factor of trailer not having a registered license plate affixed and trailer sold (AS IS). A factor that is documented upon Bills of Lading by Xtra Lease lot mgr. Ok City Oklahoma of which I retain copies of? Also notated by Catoosa Oklahoma Police Dept Report which is on file for public review.
2. Extortion of trailer for monies broken down into factor of monies owed by Greatwide.
Again thank you for your response, but; again I notice that you did not confront the issue of Greatwide agents Jason & Angie, Greatwide Corp rep Ms. Debbie M. AFTER formal inspection performed instructing myself to pull trailer without repairs or license plate BACK to Xtra Lease location two hours away in OK City with no pay or no pay of required fuel expense to do so. Once again I retain documentation sent to me from these individuals via email along with recorded documentation of conversations stating the same.
Nor did I notice where it was addressed regarding Mr. Reggie Smith stating that pay of $100 dollars per day would be paid for sitting with trailer for an additional three days on top of the two days in which trailer was being sat upon. While requesting an estimate to be faxed to him regarding approx cost of repairs. Which was done as requested and faxed the Sunday of same weekend in which $100 per day was NOT PAID! Reason gave Mr. Smith was not physically called to inform that cost appraisal had been performed. Again documentation I retain along with wittiness willing to testify to Mr. Smiths instructions directly to them along with monies offered.
As for $3K monies noted as extotion. The average Independent Contractor after expenses with a week of good running on the low side based upon milage pay. Can and does clear $3000.00 within six to seven days running. This issue from start to finish had my truck shut down for seven days. This does not take into account monies expended during this time period for food and personal hygiene expenditures.
So Mr. Mike Roberts Operations Mgr.for Greatwide Corp. Is it Greatwide's practises to conduct business for FREE? If not then why would Greatwide feel that they have the right to expect my business to suffer financial loss for being shut down one whole week. Then on top of this send me correspondence stating that monies owed my business PRIOR to this issue would NOT be paid? Therefore extortion sir appears to be strong verbage in the attempt to throw doubt upon my character and Honor. When in fact sir I have hidden nothing in my report. All statements made by myself are documented in various forms to include Police Dept s of both the Oklahoma City and Catoosa Oklahoma reports and officer eye wittnesses.
So extortion sir no...attempting to conduct business with Greatwide demonstrating Honor Respect Integrity & good Morals YES SIR. Can you honestly justify sir the dishonest actions of Greatwide forcing a contractor to attempt collection of monies owed along with attempts to request an Honorable financial compensation from Greatwide for losses to my business as being extortion?
As for the subject of rehire sir? Even though I believe this whole situation could have been avoided had Honor been demonstrated by Greatwide in conducting the proper handling of this equipment with thorough communication with myself and the Honoring of compensation offered by Mr. Smith .
I'm sorry sir but with the LACK OF HONOR and reputable business practices displayed by your staff and agents.
At this time my business has black listed your carrier as a customer to conduct business relations with. While also informing you sir that unfortunately Greatwide UNLESS this issue can be resolved to the satisfaction of both parties. Will not be able to give inquiries to this business a favorable recommendation, Nor sir will this report be withdrawn from the Ripp Off Report forums.
Thank you for your input on this matter sir. Have a Great Day and may the Lord see favorably upon you and Greatwide.

1) Greatwide Dallas Mavis was not and is not aware trailer had a "red tag" on it. If that is the case, driver should not have pulled it anywhere. Greatwide Dallas Mavis does not and did not force or authorize Terry Bratt to pull a trailer that would not pass a DOT inspection. Once driver made us aware of trailer condition, we instructed him to have it inspected, and then told driver he could not proceed when it failed inspection.
2) Greatwide Dallas Mavis is not aware driver performed a proper pre-trip inspection prior to moving trailer. Had he done so, he would have been instructed not to pull the trailer.
3) Driver attempted to hold trailer hostage to extort moneys from Greatwide Dallas Mavis. We had to notify the police to have him cease and desist. They ordered him to leave the trailer.
4) Greatwide Dallas Mavis terminated Terry Bratt's contract with cause. He will not be considered for rehire.
