The Green Dot cards are reloadable prepaid Visa or MasterCard Card debit cards. When this card is registered you receive a card personalized with your name that allows you to make purchases where Visa and MasterCards are accepted, ATM withdrawals and can be reloaded. Due to these features federal law requires us to obtain, verify and record information that identifies customers before they register a card. This includes your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number and other information.  If we are unable to verify your information we would not be able to register a personalized reloadable debit card. You can still register the card or request a refund if we are unable to verify your personal information by calling customer support. Your daughter would have had a nicer Christmas if you had started shopping prior to December 24th. When you started shopping that late it would have been wiser to shop locally so she could have received her presents by Christmas.
