They put a hold on my account for verification.
So I sent my paper work in, my first deposit was from a private freelance job i did, they then tell me they would need the id, social  and proof of address from the person who deposited the funds in my account! Are you serious?! So i have to go ask these people if I can have that information. How embarrassing!  but I got it so I sent that in as well, and yes they closed my account so i have to pay $2.00 every time i call which has added up to eight dollars as of now. Then they did the same think and transferred me to the same line thats playing music, they finally answered after 45 minutes and said they were from Account Now, they then informed me that my account was still being reviewed and some one would contact me soon. So I guess I will call back in the morning, but if they are still giving me the run around, is there anyone here who has got their money back?! And how did you do it?!

I filed a complaint as well. I have two family members with a total of $5,500 on ready debit cards that were blocked ending verification. I sent in everything they needed. Including attorney and motorized documentation. This was only a few days ago. I called today and was told they dont handle ready debit anymore, although when you call, it says Ready Debit. They referred me to another number that has no answer, it just connects and plays music. After almost two hours of hold time. Still nothing. I called ready debit back and was told they would look up the account by the card number. She was able to access the account, yet said, they didn't have the account? What!?!? If you no longer service ready debit how do you have access to the account info?

After working in sales for several years and getting a masters degree in operations research, he joined Capital One in 2000, to negotiate the purchase of large portfolios of consumer debts from other banks.


John Magnuson, Vice President of Product Development/Analytics
John studied applied physics at Yale before joining Capital One in 2000. He designed and directed the implementation of Capital One's first prepaid card programs as both a marketing tool and as a financial vehicle for under-banked customer segments. In addition, he was lead analyst for a large credit card portfolio.


Scott Bass, Vice President of Marketing/Operations
Scott studied engineering at Duke before serving five years as a nuclear submarine officer in the Navy. Scott joined Capital One in 1999, managing a wide range of customer acquisition and retention programs for the company.

I would NOT recommend this company. It SUCKS... When you need a new card, they said 7-10 business days OR I could pay $50 to expedite the shipment. Their customer service informed me they were open late so I called and accepted the $2.00 fee (which is ALSO bull) only to hear by the automated system they were still closed and when I called customer service back, I was charged again AND they didn't remove the first $2.00 customer service fee that I was charged when they were closed. This place is really frustrating, horrible customer service, horrible service in general, i wouldn't recommend using this company.

 I have done some in depth research and have come up with this .... all the numbers that you will get for Ready Financial Group/ Green Dot/ Ready Debit are the same automated ser. I tried this, pretend you are going to load your account with more funds, get online and do the following, go to the website bla bla , you say you bought your load card at walmart or ?,, now you wish to conclude the transaction , direct deposit , at the point where you are about to finalize all you account info will pop up you will then have you account info, bank name , account # , routing/ABA #, the address of the bank . this is your guy this is who knows where your cash went, they got mine and I will get it back or know where it went ... blood out of a turnip ? Do hope this helps someone, I am looking for an attorney on this maybe maybe not , seems people just take what they want and our just us system looks the other way ....... you will have to input the last for digits of your card # and last four of social. which the thieves already have........ oh by the way ......... they will still let you load your account if you wish , just no withdrawls,,,,, what gall ....... if any one knows of an attorney my e-mail is bumpitybump@excite.com .  Thanks and have a great day .

This rebuttal is not a rebuttal at all. It is information to help people who have been ripped off by these scum bag scammers that steal innocent people's money. After reading some of the complaints on your service it just makes me sick! Those scammers. They could make an honest living and have successful companys by simply doing business the way they advertise. There are certainly plenty of people like David B. from Knoxville, TN out there who welcome an opportunity to have a bank account. These vermin cannot be satisfied with doing business in an honest way and make plenty of money honestly, NO!! They are not satisfied with that. Well there is a very simple solution David to getting all your money back. By now you must know what state these people are located in, if not, it's not that hard to find out, what with the information that is available on the Internet. Anyway, once you know what state they are in you contact the ATTORNEY GENERAL'S office of the state they are operating out of, and it's very easy. Just look it up on the Internet and there will be a form on the website of the Attorny General's website, usually there are a bunch of links on the lefthand side of the page and one of them should be a link to: FILE A COMPLAINT. Then just fill out that form with everything that you told THE RIPOFF REPORT. Then they will get to work on your case. Now if enough people who read what I'm saying here do what I said to do, but before you do it you tell these people that you are going to do it and there is a good likelyhood that they will give you your money back right then and there. Why? Because as soon as you say "ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE" they get scared to death(and death is a good word to describe what should happen to these scum bags)and they will usually give you your money back real fast because again, these vermin scammers, the words that usually scare the hell out of them are: ATTORNEY GENERAL. I recently read your complaint about the green dot and ready debit card system....I'm sorry for your trouble, but, please know this....banks have a lot of the same fees AND THEY ARE HIDDEN! I've had a lot of headaches with banks ripping me off with overdraft fees (when money was in my account!).....

You may want to consider using a credit union instead....they were a little harder to come by in the past, but have become easier these days...I have one in addition to a ready debit account, and the fees are minimal at best...when I call, I'm not charged for it, when I want to wire money, I'm not charged...they will put money back into my account if I have unauthorized charges...and go out of their way to help you avoid overdrafts....their interest rates are the lowest as well (as with all credit unions..they always have commercial banks beat).
