GRAND LARCENY !!!! The service was not performed and the down deposit of $12,000 WAS NOT REFUNDED !!!!

On November 16, 2011 a contract was signed for $24,000 w/ a $12,000 deposit w/ GHES/Tim Currier [President] to remove our existing roof and dispose of old materials, install a DECRA metal roofing system on our existing house, plus a new addition and Shed in mid January/2012.  The contract also included the replacement of fascia boards on the existing house with composite material of our choice to be purchased along w/ GHES or by us w/ reimbursement from GHES.  Also, in the contract was for GHES to waterproof the addition prior to this time at our convenience since materials would not be available until January/2011. 

This contract was completely breached.  None of this work took place and our $12,000 was taken.

GHES / Tim J. Currier [President] took our down deposit of $12,000 for a Decra Metal Roofing System [quoted at $24,000], never performed the service and never refunded the deposit [THEFT on a grand scale].   We purchased cedar fascia boards the contract was supposed to cover for $890.00 and this was never refunded either.

GHES has stolen $12,890.00 from us w/ no intent to refund.  We are taking legal action

DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRATOR ---- Tim J Currier [President] is a FRAUD and the services advertised for roofing, siding and windows are a SCAM.  Refer to the Better Business Bureau and another consumer report w/ a similar problem w/ this contractor submitted on Rip Off Reports @ http://www.ripoffreport.com/roofing-companies/timothy-j-currier/timothy-j-currier-tim-currier-40cd9.htm.  A complaint was submitted to the Better Business Bureau on 2/10/12. After 6 weeks they were unable to contact GHES.  They closed the case.  We researched Tim Currier's address on the Web and found the house at this address is for sale.

This contractor did not show up for five (5) committed and pre-scheduled appointments [for which we took time off from work] with no communication what-so-ever.  He simply did not show.  This contractor sent a documented price discount of $700 he did not honor, insulted us, threatened us, and repeatedly lied and scammed us, then ultimately stole our money.  Once he had our $12,000 he could not be reached 90% of the time.  His voice mail was full, or if we were successful in leaving him a VM he did not answer.  Most of the email we sent was not responded to.  The only way we could get him to respond was via asking for the assitance of the DECRA area Representatives who were kind enough to contact him on our behalf.   On the few occasions where GHES communicated [after great effort on our part or after calling a DECRA Rep] we received excuses such as:

• "....my crew did not show up?  I was not aware of this....."


• "I was away on personal business"


• "I've been very sick"


• "my crew left me and started their own business"


• etc.

Once, he sent me a lengthy [and nasty I might add] email asking me not to contact the DECRA reps anymore and I happenned to be online.  I siezed the opportunity and asked him to call me immediately.  His emal response was "I have Laryngitis".  There is not enough space here to relay all the examples of this horrible experience not to mention the loss of such a large quantity of very hard earned money.
