Green Land Green Land Financial Inc Letter received with check ($2,985) that bank (Montecito Bk & Trust, CA) and address is real indicating winnings of $125,000 from Mega Jackpot Lottery in UK London, Ontario Canada

I received a letter with enclosed check indicating winnings of $125,000 frItom Mega Lottery conducted in the U.K. on July 27th, 2012 with a ticket serial number and winning number. There is indication the people who sent the letter tried "many unsuccessful attempts to contact you" regarding this winning (no one ever tried to contact me prior to this letter; I don't hide out).  It indicates that this is my share of a $4M shared pot with 32 other random winners from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Malaysia and the U.K.

The letter goes on to say that $1,985 must be paid directly to the tax agent and implores me to keep this confidential until the claim has been processed to "avoid unscrupulous acts by non-participants".

Some fellow by the name of Paul Ortega is the "Claim Agent" with a phone number of 1-289-893-3501 and is signed by "Rhonda" with the name Mike Howard printed below the signature with Promotion Manager and office hours listed M-F 9am-7pm and Sat 10am-3pm EST.

I explored the Internet and the bank the check (appears real in every detail) is drawn upon is real (Montecito Bank & Trust in Solvang, CA) and the business that the check is written 'from' is real (Nova Research, Inc dba Nova Sensors in Buellton, CA).
