Green Mountain Energy ripped us off for months. Our bill more than doubled and we couldn't figure out why. We had repair companies out to check our home, etc... and someone finally asked if we had GME and if so to investigate because they had been moved to a month to month plan without notice.

Sure enough, that's exactly what Green Mountain Energy did. They did not send any notification this change was happening and upped our rate by almost 100%. We reviewed our bills in detail and nothing!. No mention of any change other than the amount per kilo, which of course is in very fine print.

I called to speak with a supervisor and after a 30 minute hold time was connected with a supervisor names Sergio. Sergio proceeded to tell me I was irresponsible because I didn't read the print on my bills. He said he was responsible for his bills and coudn't help it that I wasn't with mine. At that point I asked for a manager. He said I would have to accept a call back. I said, no, I want to speak with a manager now, do you not have a manager working? He said they did but they were busy and wouldn't take my call. When I asked for the managers name Sergio told me they are not allowed to give out names. I then askd Sergio if losing a customer was not important to them? He replied again with our bills being correct and it being our fault we couldn't read them.

I urge everyone to use a different company for your electric service. They overcharged us by 100's of dollars.
