After receiving a "free sample" of 7 colon cleanse tablets for 3.95 to cover Postage and Handling. The charge was on my credit card under Green Tea, 8773508480 UT. Then two weeks later I received a first class parcel from the above named address. I did not open it, but could tell by feel and sound it was a bottle of pills. I returned it to the sender at the above address with a confirmation of delivery. The PO stated it had been delivered four days after I mailed it.

Before the delivery was confirmed I noticed the charge on my credit card statement and immediately called. I did get an answer but the male said I needed to call back 'after' confirmed delivery and they would refund the amount. I have been trying for three days to reach the number again only to get a busy signal. Once a machine answered and I was left on hold for 20 minutes until the line went dead. I have changed my credit card and they are sending me forms to complete to refute the charge, but it doesn't sound like I will be reimbursed.

I have read the statements from other scammed individuals and regret, as a conscientious consumer, there seems to be no recourse in this matter. How can we end these kind of internet scams? I realize there are many reputable merchants online, how can we determine which are honest and which deceptive?
