I had the same situation as the 8/31/07 writer.
I now need to close my checking account.
Calling the 800 # only got a run-around to the INVALID web site or an ability to record a complaint.
I'm contacting California's AG.

I've spent 120 minutes on the phone with my bank... Within the last 5-6 months rules have changed and since my name was on the "check" it can no longer be reversed. Green Zap has waited for this to happen and it started its fraud behaviour AGAIN. By using my name WITHOUT MY APPROVAL on this check/draft IT NOW CONSTITUTES IDENTITY THEFT.

Suggestion to problem

AUTHOR: Greg - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 10, 2007

I just wanted to respond that I filed a complaint with New Dominion Bank (Charlotte, NJ) on their website. I gave all the information that was available from the cancelled check (acct#, routing #) in regards to the company and that I did not authorize this transaction. I just received a call from 1-800-800-4923 saying they were from mipayment. They told me that the bank contacted them and they apologized for the problem and that they would be reimbursing me ASAP. Guess I will wait and see, but at least it was a phone call from a person.....
