Greenpoint Mortgage Funding Inc. ripoff lending company uses closing agent who practices bank fraud, falsified closing docs, gave me a bad title, then sued me representing another client who he claimed was the "rightful" owner of the property Novato California

When I used this lending company to buy my first home, they provided me with a closing agent who falsified closing documents, did not explain the closing documents that he instructed me to sign, hurried me through the closing saying he had overbooked his appointments and did not have time to go over the details and assured me all was in order, did not order title insurance for me as instructed, then later sued me for possession of my home representing another client whom he claimed was the "rightful" owner of the home.

When I contacted Greenpoint several times, they would not help me defend my title, the title they gave me. They would not provide needed documents in their possession for my defense. They kept me on hold, hung up on me, said my docs were "archived" and told me my situation had nothing to do with title insurance.

Greenpoint saw that their closing agent had submitted closing paperwork with another person's name on it along with mine and did not notify me to avoid the lawsuit filed against me by their closing agent. They ignored the fact that a title issue would come up in the future. Their closing agent had threatened a lien on the property and did not disclose that information to me, and put that person's name on the closing documents as being the buyer of the home.

This company condones their closing agent's deceptive practices and has done nothing to report him to the proper authorities for bank fraud and for falsifing closing documents.

Their closing agent testified under oath that he used me as a straw to buy and transfer my property to his gay lover. I was ordered to pay his gay lover money that he put in the property thinking it was his. The closing agent was politically involved with the judge, and the judgement was against me, not the closing attorney, who practiced an illegal real estate transaction.

Greenpoint has not apologized or provided restitution to help pay for the judgement and lawyers costs to defend the clear title their closing agent gave me. I am financially ruined because I used this Lending company and the closing agent they provided to do the closing.
