 Greenspan International Adjustors International, Matthew Goldstein and Michael Carr, pounced on my client within hours of a devastating house fire, and coerced her into signing a contract with their company, under durress. The salesman, Michael, stated that he/they (Greenspan) would maximize the insurance proceeds on three (3) counts, first, contents of the home would be paid in full within 60-90 days, showing her a massive bound book which Greenspan would produce on her behalf with photos and documentation allowing her to maximize her contents to the fullest, without having to provide documentation or receipts. second, that the rebuild of the home would not cost her a dime and Greenspan would maximize the insurance company coverage to the fullest. Lastly, he claimed he would maximize the Additional Living Expense (ALE) portion of the policy, which was never utilized. To date, it has been over 280 days and the claim is still ongoing. The contents have been paid out to about 75%, only after all receipts have had to be submitted to the insurance company for reimbursement. Not what was discussed at the time of the fire. The rebuild is complete and the money that was supposed to come from the rebuild to pay the Greenspan fees (10%) she was told would be paid by the contractor, Harbro, but it wasn't, so Greenspan has tried extorting their fees from the content checks, the escrow account, and the rebuild account, as well as from the mortgage company and from the homeowner. This has got to be the worst experience ever. Do not sign on the dotted line. Do not believe a word they say. They have been abusive and rude throughout the process. They have actually created more work than if she had just taken care of it with the Insurance Company directly. Do not do business with Greenspan Co/Adjusters International.
