GreenTree Capital - Loan Ripoff DO NOT SEND Collateral Payments Boston Massachusetts

I applied for a loan and was told that I was approved for $10000.00. I was sent the documentation, which looked legitimate. I spoke with a Mathew Sharpe who was very friendly and helped me through the entire contract and was always prompt when returning my calls. He advised me that in order to secure the loan I would have to provide a collateral payment, at the request of a "private" lender, 4 monthly payments totaling $1700.00. He said since we were dealing with a private lender that this was his terms and I would not have a payment due until 4 months after I received the loan.

I sent them the money via money gram, I should have seen it coming, it was sent to a Cindy Elles in Canada, they said this was their accounting person who handles all transactions. I was later called by Mathew who said everything was fine and that I should receive my loan on Monday.

I got a call later that day by, Arthur Miles - Customer Service Manager, who said that there was a problem with the loan and the insurance company is requesting an additional 4 months collateral for them to insure the loan amount. Therefore if I wanted the loan I would have to provide an additional $1700.00. I said that I could not afford that and that I wanted a refund. He advised that I would have to wait until October 18th to receive it back! I advised them it was them that was unacceptable as they wanted their money asap and I have to wait, Arthur advised that it was because that's when they submit all of their refunds!

I am hoping that they stick to their word in refunding my money to me by the promised date.

Hopefully this post will get some attention and someone out their can help prevent this from happening to anyone else!
