Green tree financial group contacts people to offering a refinance even when we started that we didn't think we would qualify for the hardship insisted that due to the high interest rate the we had they could qualify us. And the stated they did. That was until we sent the "legal fees" requested. Then we learned that we didn't qualify and could not reach them for the refund of the fees as outlined on the agreement. This is clearly a scam. Avoid at all cost. I have since learns about hundreds of others who have been scammed by these people. They may have helped many however those that they were not approve should get their money back based on the statement on the disclosure & agreement that they provide. Otherwise they are subject to breech of contract.
