Greg Abrahamson was in charge of booking a trip for four couples to Cancun. We put down our deposit February/March 2017 and paid the remainder of our trip to Greg October 2017. The first of the four couples arrived in Cancun on 11/14 while the remainder of us were set to arrive on the 16th. When the first couple arrived in Cancun they were unable to find the driver associated with our resort to pick them up. It was at this same time they received a text from Greg stating the following:

"I hope your able to access WiFi and check your messages...Excellence is no longer providing transfers to and from the airport. So, I was just on the phone with them and they said its very easy to just grab a taxi and is only about twenty minutes from the airport. 

Things got totally messed up on my end and I had to book new reservations for all of you. I wasn't able to make final payments for anybody and lost out on the Excellence Club suites so booked you what was available which is the Junior Suite with Spa or Pool View. Each suite will also have to be paid upon check in and I'm about to lose my mind over this. I was planning on making all of your payments from an investor that is wanting to invest and become a business partner of mine and was counting on that investment to pay for all of your bookings. As of today I'm still waiting on this to happen and I don't personally have the funds available to pay for all the reservations. So, I don't want you all to lose out on your holiday so Excellence has each of your reservations and they can be paid upon arrival. I am working on trying to finalize this investment and as soon as In have it squares away, I will make sure and refund everybody for having to pay twice, plus will make sure and do something for this major issue I created in my end....I am so Sorry and so embarrassed because I have always prided myself on doing the best I can for my clients and I totally screwed up here and I will make sure and take care of all of this as soon as possible....Please don't hate me Robert, I am so sorry for what has happened."

When Greg booked our rooms, the second time, he proceeded to use our credit card information we gave him when putting down our deposit in February. Upon finding this out my husband called the hotel to cancel the room and they stated since it was less than 36 hours prior to our arrival we would not be able to cancel without being charged a fee. Thankfully that card had expired so we were not charged any fees.

Needless to say the three couples who were set to fly in on the 16th did not make the trip to Cancun as we were not about to pay for the trip twice. We had to try to cancel our plane tickets but were only able to be reimbursed for partial payment or keep the full amount with the airline to use for future travel. Multiple phone calls, texts and emails have been sent to Greg with no response and to date there has been no mention of if/when we will get our money back. We have talked to previous employers of Greg who have stated he has a history of taking people's money and using it for himself. Unfortunatley we were not aware of this. He was supposedly a good friend of the first couple who arrived in Cancun and Greg had supposedly booked many previous trips for them. with no issues. 

When doing research on Greg it shows he is the owner of Savvy Journey or Savvy Travel however this is not accurate. He was previoulsy employed or a contractor for this company but has not been with them for about a year. I belive he was let go after scamming someone else. Unfortunatley there are not any reviews on Greg online which is why I am putting this out there to hopefully prevent someone else from being scammed by him. He has a facebook page but it is either private or he no longer uses it as the most recent post is from 2015. He does have an instagram and twitter account with the name @gbahama and makes multiple posts on those sights. The most recent shwoing he is enjoying his time in Denver and prior to that how thankful he was on Thanksgiving.

If you come in contact with this guy and he offers to book a trip for you, please don't do it. We gave him a total of $12K and he took all of it for her own personal use. This trip was for our 40th and 50th bdays and one we had been looking forward to for a year. It's truly sad that there are people out there that will prey on other people, especially around the holidays. We have all filed police reports and will continue doing what we need to do to make sure he is held responsible for his actions.
