I too was a member of GE Nashville. I was given a "discount" for the membership, as that they wanted to support combat war veterans and members of the military. When I deployed to Iraq again, they told me that it would be better to put my account on hold rather than break the contract with respect to the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Releif Act. I paid the contract in full, and now just want to stop getting billed by Universal Account Services. I call UAS and they give me an 800 number that does not work to contact the company. I explain to them that the contract is expired and I owe no more money, however they claim that they cannot do anything to stop the billing. I called GE in Nashville who is under new ownership and they also claim that there is nothing that they can do. The did give me an email address to Mike Meiss of connections dating who was a part of the process. His contact info is

GE Nashville claims that he is the only person that can do anything, but he tells me that he has no access to the contracts or to Greg and Laura.

In addition, Barry decided to take his email contact list from the company with him and advertise for photos to be taken if we ever want them. His contact information is

If anyone does persue a lawsuit, I want it, otherwise, if anyone can help me figure out how to just stop the billing, I would appreciate it. I am ready to camp out in front of GE or to go find Laura and Greg myself to get this fixed and also let other people know that it is a scam.

Laura Makes things right

It took a couple of months to sort everything out since I filed the first report, however eventually things were cleared up with GE Nashville and Laura specificaly.  As matter of fact, almost a year later, I was contacted by Laura to verify that everything had been taken care of and that I was pleased with the resolution.  Based on that concern, I agreed to remove the Report that I posted last year, but unfortunately, the website does not allow me to do so.  If Rip off Report does has a process for removing such reports, I would appreciate them removing this one.  While  I still made a mistake not dealing with this in person, before I deployed to Iraq and had to track people down after I got back and the company changed hands a couple times, once I did find the responsble parties, they were more than helpful.  Thank you Laura for being concerned.

Mistake

I made a MISTAKE. I included information about MIKE MIESS of connections dating. I made a mistake, and in the frustration of all the run around I recieved from Great Expections I included him in this report. Great Expectations gave me his number and told me that he was responsible for contracts. I should have know that this was a lie, like all the other ones and infact he is not responsible. In addition to his lack of involvement, he is assisting me with how the "dating" buisness works so I can try to find the people responsible. This is a reputable man and I apologize for involving him in this report. Sorry Mike..
