Progressive Business Publications:  We've heard of this company throughout the years in our industry as being a scam company.  While they may have true services- it's how they go about ripping you off by sending invoices in hopes someone will pay for their services when services were not set up in the first place.  We received some mail sent to our office and all of the sudden we're getting billed for a subscription somebody supposedly authorized by phone.  This is not the case and our office is not budgeted for such publications nor do we approve of this company providing our office with their services of any kind.  Starting two weeks ago an agressive rep. from their collection dept. started calling our office but would not give their information and asked to be forwarded to one of our employees whose name is on the mail.  Finally after several attempts the collection rep. finally made herself known as to what the phone call was about.  She said she could not give me any other specifics but that the person they are claiming authorized the subscription is at fault and needs to contact them and pay for their services.  This is not the case with our office and does not work that way. 

 We will not pay for the subscription and any more attempts to solicit and send publications to our office will be documented and provided to the Business Bureau and whoever else can help resovle this issue.  I personally know from experience sales reps will call and have a conversation with an individual and then all of the sudden somehow they are responsible for something they ordered unknowingly just by speaking briefly to a company.  Will this is one of those companies.  To a tune of $432.00 for junk mail not received.
