Grossinger Chevrolet Took leased vehicle on trade, told me they paid ALL fees. LIED to me! Palatine Illinois

I bought a vehicle on July 15th from Grossinger, traded in a leased vehicle. Salesman and Manager told me they were taking the leased vehicle *off my hands*. They told me they would pay ALL the costs involved in returning the leased vehicle.

Two months later I got a bill for $750 from the lease company. The bill was for returning it to an unauthorized place, excesive wear & tear on the car, and over miles. (I had told the sales man I was over my miles, he said *Don't worry*)

I called Grossinger 6 times and even sent a letter to the owner, Gary Grossinger (He never did return any of my calls). Finally the manager called me back and said they would not pay. He said they had paid all my remaining payments and that is all they agreed to do. It was NOT, and he knows it. I then asked him why he didn't tell me I was going to be charged these extra charges and he said he didn't know about them. I don't believe him. He is a car dealer. They KNOW how car leases work. They should have told me I was going to be charged from the lease company instead of telling me they were *taking care of everything.*

If they had I never would have purchased from them. That is why they didn't tell me, they wanted the sale. I think they purposly negelected to tell me about these *hidden* charges and therefore are responsible for them.

I also know that had I returned the leased vehicle to the place I bought it from I would NOT have been charged for returning it to an unauthorised dealer. I knew I was over my miles, that is why I told the Grossinger salesman and the manager. That is part of the reason I wanted to get out of the lease! They said not to worry. They NEVER told me I was going to be charged for the extra miles, the wear and tear OR the return charge, all of which they KNEW I would be charged for. They led me to believe once I gave then the leased vehicle I was done with it.

To purposly mislead someone is just plain wrong. I don't believe for a minute they didn't know I was going to be hit with those charges, and they should have told me!
