Grossinger Auto Group - GMC / Cheverolet / Cadillac "Service" Deparment is unresponsive, unreliable, and unfriendly Lincolnwood (Chicago Burbs) Illinois

I was in a freeway fender-bender in CA and had to drive immediately to Chicago for business. A shop at home got me on the road and I called Grossinger ahead of time to get everything set up so that the work could be done quickly as soon as I arrived. The service advisor, Christine, took my information but didn't enter it into the computer and didn't inform me that she was being transferred to the Toyota store (maybe she didn't know). Christine never called me back.

When I called back a new service writer found my Repair Order but none of the notes that Christine. He said there was no record of the parts being ordered but that said he would check with the parts department and have them call me back (not their job). The parts department never called me back, but Jose was as helpful as he could be. He gave my message to the Steve, the Service Director, who said he would call me as soon as he was out of a meeting.

Steve didn't call back until the next day, when he left a message asking me for prepayment. When I called back, having already made up my mind to get the work done at Jennings GMC instead, I politely conveyed my concerns to the Service Director Steve and asked him why he thought I should bring my car there if I thought it would receive the same treatment I did. He hung up on me.

I have never heard one good thing about Grossinger, but when I told people who live here about my experience I heard a lot of negative feedback about their sales and service departments. There are plenty of other options in the area, and I highly recommend using one of them instead.

Though I haven't had the work done yet, my first contact with Jennings was great and they were recommended to me by someone I trust do be a discerning consumer and who had a great sales experience there.
