GSS Financial - Randy Johnson - James Bodkins ripoff sent a letter saying that I won International Sweeps from Canada Nationwide

I received a letter stating that I had won an International Lottery drawing on 6/26/06. In the letter was a check in the amount of $3990.00 and I was to go to the bank and have it cashed but to send $2990.00 back to them to pay for taxes.

I called Randy Johnson, who apparently was acting as an Attorney for James Bodkins of GSS Financial. I did take this check to the bank where it had to wait for 1 week to see if it was good or not. My sister got onto the Internet and checked it out to see if it was a scam or not and found it to be true as a scam.

After Tammy, my sister, found this out she then tried calling the telephone # of Randy Johnson, Attorney and the # says "Sorry this machine is full". Well now, who hears of a lawyers office machine full and no answer.
Thank God, Tammy caught this before I used those funds and to then found out the check bounced.
Any consequences to be taken will be greatly appreciated, on my part.
