GTC Delivery Inc. Patrick Hayden Bogus Classified Ad for UTV, 2011 John Deere Gator Olympia Washington

My husband found an online classified ad for a UTV, a 2011 John Deere Gator, which was for sale immediately at a very low price due to the owner being relocated to an office in England.  An emailed inquiry (no telephone numbers are provided) gets a reply email from "Patrick Hayden" who states he "has already relocated to England", but his wife is handling the liquidation of items they will not be bringing with them, one of which is the 2011 John Deere Gator 825i. 

The email also indicates that shipping charges are included in the price (1st red flag since he has no idea how far away the buyer lives).  Then he indicates that is wife has already dropped the UTV off with GTC Delivery, an auto carrier and warehouser, for them to handle the sale.  The shipper web site ( www.gtc-deliveryinc.com ), of course offers the guarantee that they are going to escrow your money until you have received, inspected and accepted the UTV, at which time it will be sent to the seller.  Of course, they do not accept credit cards or checks.  Only a bank wire transfer will be accepted. 

After the wire is sent, the buyer is also required to scan and email a copy of the bank's wire transfer receipt (which, at most US banks, includes the buyer's account name, account number, routing number and account holder's address, so your bank account can be wiped out completely).  When I requested the transporter's federal tax ID number ( which is required for all transporters in the United States, even if their corporate office is overseas), "Mr. Hayden" cut off all email correspondence. 

Further internet searches for the tag line from teh classified advertisement, revealed that "Mr. Hayden" has sold this exact UTV using the same "shipping company, GTC-deliveryinc.com" because he was being relocated to England from:  Houston, TX; Olympia WA; Miami FL; etc....  If you want to purchase anything from classified advertisements or listings, the best course of action is to purchase locally so you can physically go inspect the equipment prior to purchase and see clear title to that property.  Online purchases should ONLY be made through sites that research, verify and certify the sellers as authentic.
