GTI Expedite LDI Freight The company bounced paychecks with no intent to payback Las Vegas Nevada

My husband worked for a company in Orlando, FL called GTI Expedite (The actual company is located in Las Vegas, Orlando was new division.) The company started having drivers takes loads that were unusual and wasnt what they normally did. The were to be paid weekly on Friday. The week after they did the unusual loads they were not given their checks until Saturday. The check was cashed and come the following Wednesday all of the companies payroll checks bounced. The owner blamed the employees for the checks bouncing accusing them of contacting someone that would affect the company money. He was beligerant and making threats towards employees when they questioned where their money was. Then the owner quit talking to the employees and the financial backer started answering them. The financial backer has stated all kinds of different reasons why the money wasn't available.

Initially he said the money was there but his accounts were frozen, then he said he was under DOT Audit and the last excuse was he was robbed. In addition to the bounced paycheck they are owed two additonal paychecks are owed.One that was held at the start of their employment and the week after their paychecks bounced. The bosses also tried to get people to work even after their paychecks were bounced with no resolution. The financial backer said the company was closed effective immediately and was being sold to another company. It has been almost 4 weeks and no money has been paid back at all. The only way this issue can be resolved is with an attorney which is hard to get when you are now responsible for covering all the fees associated with the bounced check and are left without a job.
